IMPORTANT PRACTICE UPDATE!
Effective June 1, 2026, the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center will become a part of The Medical Group of New Jersey.
Effective June 1, our office will become a division of The Medical Group of New Jersey. While ownership and legal structure are changing, please be assured that our day-to-day operations, providers, services, and commitment to your care will remain the same. Dr. Kruse will continue to run and oversee the practice, and all of our providers will continue to see patients.
As part of this transition, the name of our practice will become The Medical Group of New Jersey. Additionally, all billing services and patient medical records will be managed through The Medical Group of New Jersey. Our office location, services, and providers will remain the same. We will continue to accept all of the current insurance plans that are currently accepted.
We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible and do not anticipate any disruption to your care. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office at 732-747-5500 or via email at info@skincenternj.com.
Thank you for your continued trust in our practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you continue to take my insurance?
Yes, if we have accepted your insurance in the past year, then we will continue to accept your insurance through the transition.
Will you be accepting any additional insurances?
We do plan to look into accepting certain insurance plans that we do not currently accept, such as UnitedHealthcare. The credentialing process with the insurance companies takes time. We anticipate we will be able to accept United by July. If you have United, please call before your appointment (if scheduled) to confirm our status. We will continue to update patients on our website if our insurance coverage changes.
Are any of the providers leaving?
No, all providers will continue to see patients at our office, and all supporting staff will continue to work for our practice.
How will this change affect me as a patient?
The Medical Group of New Jersey will now oversee patient billing and have access to the medical records system, so you will now see The Medical Group of New Jersey on your bills, and The Medical Group of New Jersey will also have access to patient records to manage billing. Rest assured, HIPAA privacy laws continue to apply to all patient medical records.
Will this affect my upcoming appointment?
No. Business will resume as normal on June 1st.
